California Construction Concepts was founded by Marshall Dohoney in 2001 as an HOA litigation and construction defect management firm. In 2003, the company transitioned into general contracting, expanding its offerings to provide clients with a wide variety of services. General contracting is, and always has been, the foundation on which California Construction Concepts has been built.
Today, California Construction Concepts provides a wide range of construction services for commercial, HOA, and apartment properties, specializing in waterproof deck restoration and solar reflective roof systems. Additional services include general building reconstruction, maintenance, modernization, risk management, leak detection, and more.
Since its inception, California Construction Concepts has built a strong reputation in construction management and consulting, using a hands-on, common-sense approach to addressing a broad range of construction challenges.

Marshall Dohoney, President and CEO
Marshall Dohoney is a second-generation contractor who began his career over 35 years ago, learning the trades from the ground up within his family's construction business. That early foundation — built on craftsmanship, accountability, and firsthand field experience — shapes every project California Construction Concepts undertakes today. Over the course of his career, Mr. Dohoney has mastered numerous trades and developed a deep, practical expertise that few in the industry can match. His extensive experience working alongside property managers and attorneys has made him a trusted authority in resolving complex architectural, structural, water intrusion, roofing, and general repair challenges.
